about us
Food Newcastle is a partnership of businesses, organisations and individuals with a passion, interest or remit around various aspects of good food. We are an independent non-profit movement that, through our expanding partnership, provides awareness encouraging others to share information and take action to create a healthier food culture in Newcastle upon Tyne.
- MichaelI deliver a meal once a week to my neighbour who lives on his own, I have done this since last summer as I was a little worried about him being so socially isolated.
- WilliamWe signed up to the Riverford Organic Veg box scheme during lockdown, beautiful, tasty fresh veg and good value too.
- AndrewKeeping it local makes sense – fresh and lower environmental impact. Some great local producers in the region.
- LauraI’ve started composting my kitchen waste to reduce what goes to landfill.
