Men’s Pie Club is a project delivered by Food Nation, that was developed to help tackle social isolation in Newcastle.

MPC brings together local men, to make, cook and eat pies, whilst having a chat to other likeminded guys. Each week, you’re given all the ingredients, and shown what to do by one of the team. Referrals to join MPC can be made on their website www.menspieclub.co.uk

Due to current pandemic restrictions, in-person clubs have been unable to take place, but the team have been delivering pies each week, and having a friendly doorstep chat to each of their members.

“The first rule of Men’s Pie Club is we talk about Men’s Pie Club. And we don’t just talk about pies. We talk about loads of things. Things that really matter. And things that don’t.”

McColls Brewery are a local craft beer producer based in County Durham, who wanted to support MPC and help them raise funds to continue their great work. They created a beer specifically for MPC, where £1 of every can sold is donated to MPC, with the aim to raise £2,500 in total.
