Community Food Grants 2019

The Community Food Grant scheme for 2019 is now open; set to distribute £10,000 to local community organisations and schools in Newcastle – providing the opportunity to develop grassroots community food projects.

You can apply for a Food Grant of between £250 and £2,500.

The closing date is Thursday 16 May 2019 (12:00hrs).

Funded projects will seek to address food related health inequalities which aim to inspire people about good food and have a positive impact on physical health and emotional wellbeing.

This year we are particularly keen to encourage applications that aim to increase food skills and knowledge.

The Food Grant application form and guidance notes are now available online at https://www.foodnewcastle.org/what-we-do/theme-3-increasing-food-skills-knowledge/

For advice on applying please contact Nicola Cowell nicola@foodnation.org or Vicki Soulsby vicki@foodnation.org
